Yogiji Maharaj was born as Jinabhai in Dhari in 1892. Even as a child, he joyfully served at the local mandir and developed a disciplined devotional routine.
Initiated as Sadhu Gnanjivandas, he became known for humility, tolerance and constant service. He taught samp, suhradbhav and ekta: harmony, spiritual friendship and unity.
His warmth drew young people toward a life of devotion and good character. He inspired educated youths to become sadhus and helped carry the Swaminarayan tradition beyond India.
